Support for people with T1D, by someone with T1D
Welcome! I’m Beth, registered nutritional therapist, owner of a hungry belly, and person living with type 1 diabetes.
After a life-long obsession with food (either eating it, cooking it, or writing about it), it’s fair to say I’ve been on a journey with nutrition. From the highs of baking my first loaf of bread, to the lows of seeking that one perfect way of eating – and getting lost along the way - food hasn’t always been easy.
Fast forward to today, where I nourish myself and my clients with real, whole foods, and help people to simplify their relationships with eating so they can get to where they want to be. Food shouldn’t be a source of stress, but it often can be. Conflicting messages about what to eat, foods to avoid, how much and when, can all make the world of nutrition, food, and diabetes management a confusing one.
But what if I told you we can find a way to simplify? Together, we can cultivate harmony within your food relationship, allowing you to thrive and not just survive, without compromising your T1D health. This is at the heart of Beth Edwards Nutrition, and I’m thrilled you’re here.
You don’t have to do this alone…
1:1 nutritional therapy for t1d heroes
Modern-day life is a chaotic affair. Modern-day life alongside type 1 diabetes is that little bit more chaotic. Whether you’ve been recently diagnosed and feel bombarded with opinions on blogs and forums, or if you’re an old hand at living with type 1 but feel saturated with nutrition information, I see you. There’s a lot of noise out there and it’s getting noisier. I’m here to cut through that. I provide personalised nutrition coaching that works specifically for people with type 1 diabetes.
consultancy work
I help brands understand and distil scientific health advice so they can better communicate with their ideal customer, and create products that support and promote good health. Corporate wellness and education is a passion, and I regularly deliver in-person and online training sessions for brands including Twinings and Waitrose. I regularly contribute to digital and print publications, writing on a range of topics including type 1 diabetes. I also help brands to find and hone their voice. I’m available to jazz up your website copy, craft killer Instagram captions, or produce striking communications that get you closer to your ideal customer.

t1d support guides
What are the best ways to manage type 1 diabetes? How can I invite these approaches into day-to-day life so the burden of T1D is a little less heavy? These are questions I get asked a lot - by clients, by T1Ds in the Diabetes Online Community, by anyone looking to get a better handle on their condition.
So where do we start? How do we unpick what’s important when it comes to living well and eating well with type 1 diabetes? How do we tune into advice that honours us as bioindividuals, and feel comfortable leaving the rest? This is exactly where this portfolio of guides come in - sharing tried and tested nutrition strategies from the Beth Edwards Nutrition clinic, directly into your inbox.
